You don't need to get a permit from the state but you do need to contact the campground. They will need to let you know where to park your trailers depending on how many you have. It is late in the season, but there is a chance there could be another event going out of there. Their phone number is 978-582-4976. I would also sugget that even though it is not a state ramp it would be helpful to submit a creel census to the state. As you probably have already heard, the weed kill and lowering the lake level has really destroyed the bass fishing there. In the spring it used to take 16 pounds for 5 fish to win but now it is more like 6 pounds. I fished an event there in 2008 and 11 pounds won for 8 fish. Best of luck and I hope the weather is not as bad as they are saying.
