Flouro,mono,braid..What pound test,what make,with what fishing technique.. Like this, Personally I myself throw my frog,jig and spinnerbaits on 40-60lb braid,I have used and tried many different braids but for whatever reason I have gone back to powerpro in the end eachtime,some things i didnt like about it was the abrasiveness of it,really had to throw the crap out of it to brake it in..I really liked the stren braid as well but found the 40 and under lb test were not very strong and broke fairly easy.Still looking for that perfect braid. so go ahead guys,share your opinions/suggestions,they are greatly appreciated! Posts: 11 (01/26/08 11:20:47) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I like the Trilene XL and use 6-10-12Lb test depending on application.I use Spiderwire braid 30Lb. for frogs/slop fishing.Tried fluoro for a while and hated it. This year I have some Invisa-braid to try. They work for me and I don't have many line problems.

Posts: 4 (01/27/08 08:14:29) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Thanks Leo,ya i used xl years ago and got away from it due to the stretching i found,maybe it was just me but iam sure they have changed quite abit over the years like many other fishing lines out there,i have always said keep it simple and youll have less problems,i used sensation for years but bought a bulk spool and had nothing but issue's,went abck to buying pony spools and had none yet was still searching for that next edge in fishing lines..if i could only follow my own guide lines..thanks again for posting Mike Richard CFBC Last Edited By: Mike CFBC 01/27/08 09:38:44. I've use P-Line flouro and like it. I use it for drop shot and small plastics. Also use Berkley Sensation and going to try P-Lines coployemer this year. I use to use Yozuri coployemer all the time. Wanted to try differen lines for awhile, but I'm going back to it this year. In reading some of the magizines sounds like alot of the pros are using flouro. Anyone know what brands they are using? *George*

I have had problems with the lighter weight, but I think that was due to rocks cutting it...should not have been using it where I was. I use the braid on my "slop" flipping stick as well, just because I think it cuts through the crap a lot better. I have been using Vanish Floro on everything else, but am going to try the new 100% Floro from Berkley this year. Memory is an issue with Vanish.

Posts: 5 (02/11/08 11:25:00) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Power Pro 50lb braid for frogs, spinnerbaits (try it, you'll like it), and jigs. 8-10lb test Bass Pro Excel for spinning reels, best brand I've found that doesn't coil up much on spinning gear. 10-15lb Trilene Big Game for crankbaits, topwaters, jerkbaits, etc. Want to try some flourocarbon on spinning tackle this year. Tried Berkeley Vanish when it first came out and it really stunk (memory). Heard good things about Gamma, Yamamoto Sugoi, and Sunline flouro - but they are pricey. as

When I started fishing the club, I had 8lb mono in my spinning reels, and 17lb in baitcasters. And caught fish. In the 3 years I have been in the club. and have learned so much from you guys. I 'm now using 30lb braid to fish slop. I've been using the Spiderwire, it's stiff for a while but does soften over time. I didn't care for braid for spinner baits and plastic. I seemed to lose some feel, and catching less fish. So Im going back to mono this season for plastics and spinnerbaits. Crankbaits for this season, im having trouble deciding, I think I'll go back to mono. Im convinced I had more bites with mono! So thats my fishing line story.
